Invertebrates

Invertebrates are the biggest group of animals.
About 97% of the animals on Earth are invertebrates.

Invertebrates don’t have a backbone (or a spine).
They don’t have a skeleton inside.

We can classify invertebrates into different groups:

• arthropods (insects),
• molluscs
• and other groups of invertebrates (sea anemone).
